Raivavae

The Bora Bora of the Australs

In the Austral Islands, Raivavae is the pearl of the Pacific:

Its heavenly lagoon

The island is renowned for its exceptional lagoon dotted with 28 motu, including the famous motu piscine, which bears its name wonderfully. The ideal place for lagoon lovers in search of the most beautiful shades of blue and unrivalled swimming!

Cultural sights and relics

Fishing, fruit, weaving, handicrafts, pirogue building, the island offers a unique authentic experience right at the heart of Polynesian life and traditions. Cross the ages and the history of Fenua with a visit to the laughing tiki and the island's various marae.

Raivavae, the island for you?

A hidden, almost inaccessible paradise

The island has a large lagoon surrounded by a coral reef made up of 28 motu. The island's inhabitants grow taro and coffee. "Raivavae" means "open sky". Often considered the most beautiful island in the Pacific, Raivavae's magnificent landscape lives up to its reputation as a Garden of Eden. Floating on an emerald lagoon, the island is home to astonishing relics, such as a laughing tiki.

Intense culture, authenticity and an exceptional lagoon: but why isn't this island more visited? The reason is the same as for all the Australs archipelago: internal flights are very complicated. But this is even truer for Raivavae, which has very few connections, and you'll see in your itineraries that unfortunately you'll only be able to choose between a 2 or 7-night stay on this island, with no in-between time due to the lack of flight rotations.
