Anaa

And its emerald lagoon

Anaa is a jewel in the Pacific, far from the usual tourist circuits:

Its heavenly lagoon

The lagoon owes its incomparable emerald-green color to its shallow, sandy bottom. The atoll has an enclosed lagoon, like that of Tetiaroa. The water is warm and the scenery heavenly.

Simple, authentic accommodation

There are no hotels here, so lovers of luxury and large resorts will have to make an exception. You're at the end of the world, off the beaten tourist track. So you'll need to enjoy living locally in minimalist comfort!

Anaa, the atoll for you?

Simple Polynesian living

The atoll of Anaa will surprise you with the pale green color of its lagoon. Anaa was devastated by cyclone Orama in 1983, and the village of Tukuhora was completely flattened by the waves, apart from the church. A new village has been rebuilt on a higher, better-protected area. However, choosing an atoll off the beaten track means choosing a more complex accessibility in terms of transport; flights are only available to and from Tahiti.

When you set foot on a Pacific atoll like Anaa, the experience is to live simply Polynesian-style, at your hosts' pace. The Koko (underwater tunnels, blue holes) are also must-sees on this atoll.
